Reddit has launched a new AI-powered campaign type called “Max Campaigns” in beta. The goal: better performance through automation, combined with unusually transparent audience insights.https://lnkd.in/dq8T5uMK
What’s behind it?
🤖 AI optimisation of targeting, placements, creatives and budget in one campaign type.
📉 According to Reddit: −17% CPA and +27% conversions vs. classic campaigns (beta tests).
Exciting from an agency perspective: Reddit provides “Top Audience Personas”.
→ i.e. aggregated insights into which communities and interests actually convert.
Additionally: AI support for headlines and thumbnails in “Reddit Native” style
Why is this interesting?
Many automation solutions (Google PMax, Meta Advantage+) work, but often as a black box.
Reddit takes a slightly different approach here and tries to combine automation with explainable insights. This can be particularly relevant for strategies, tests or customer arguments.
Our assessment:
Very exciting for mid-funnel & conversion tests
Particularly interesting for niche target groups where Reddit communities are strong
⚠️ As always with betas: results are highly case-dependent – not a sure-fire success
We will definitely keep an eye on this feature and are excited to see how Reddit Ads continues to develop as a performance channel.
